Karl Born
Karl T. Born is an Indianapolis-based attorney whose practice centers on legal research, litigation support, and written advocacy. Since his admission to the Indiana bar in 2007, Karl has assisted law firms with litigation documents, legal research, motions, and briefs, including arguments in support of summary judgment. He has also appeared as counsel in Marion County Small Claims Court.
Karl brings a careful, research-driven approach to legal work. Before entering private practice, he served as a clerk for the Marion County Small Claims Court, Lawrence Township Division, where he conducted legal research and helped manage court records under official retention schedules. That experience gave him a close view of trial-court practice and the importance of clear, precise legal writing.
A lifelong Indianapolis resident, Karl graduated from Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School before earning his B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Indiana University Bloomington and his J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. His work reflects a steady commitment to clarity, accuracy, and sound judgment.
Karl has also held leadership roles with Nora Toastmasters, including service as president and vice president for public relations. Outside his legal practice, he enjoys running, writing, public speaking, and studying the United States Constitution and the development of the Anglo-American legal system.
